Unwanted SPAM Emails and How To Avoid Them
Everyone gets email that is unsolicited and/or unwanted. Commonly referred to as SPAM, it does not originate from a purchased marketing mail list that has been validated and qualified, which is common with mailers delivered to your home. On the contrary, email SPAM costs nothing to the spammer and has become a major nuisance to our everyday, online lives. Where email spam differs from home junk mail is that your name was probably sold to the email spammer by someone who tricked you into giving them your email address. For example, if you wanted to download a free report and they asked you for your email address in exchange for the free report they most likely could turn around and sell your name and email address as well as everybody else they have to the spammers of the world. I know, sneaky but you did get something in exchange, a free report and your name / email on who knows how many lists.
It’s so easy to get rid of email spam, I don’t know why others never talk about it. Here’s the trick: *Never* purchase anything from a email SPAM message! If you and everyone you knew never bought from email spam, then there would be no email spam anymore it’s that simple. Wait, you don’t believe me but why would someone bother to keep spamming if there was no money to be made. The fact of the matter remains that folks buy from spammers and that’s why they keep spamming.
Over the coming months, I will provide you with articles and tips to help fight back against the persistent onslaught of trash mail. But for this time, just learn this tip. Fight the urge to unsubscribe to your spam emails or newsletters because if you do, you will be confirming that your email address is legitimate and that you read your emails. Then they *will* start sending you even more junk mail! Do like we all do … hit the delete key or better yet, send them to the junk mail folder.
