This ain’t your old schoolhouse chalk board!
Part of my job as a break-fix tech is to also install new cool products. If you’ve ever seen a whiteboard inside a boardroom or classroom and wished you could take a snapshot straight to your computer then your wish has come true. This is a whiteboard on steroids with all the bells and whistles you ever wanted and plus a bunch more you didn’t know you needed until now. No more taking notes during class or meetings since with CaptureBoard whiteboard you can save then entire drawings straight to USB storage device or print it on the optional printer. Imagine if everyone was paying attention instead of trying to reproduce everything you are drawing on your whiteboard, what a pain, unless of course at the end of the class/meeting you can simply print a copy for everyone or better yet, save the contents to a flash drive and then email it to everyone. This is where the CaptureBoard C-12S whiteboard from Plus Vision comes in.
The entire package show up in two large boxes. The smallest box contains the CaptureBoard stand and instructions, while the largest box contains the CaptureBoard screen as well as printer stand and other accessories such as cable holders, markers, eraser, manual, instructions, sheet sheet, software CD, USB cable to connect to a printer and a power supply. The cable holders keep everything neat and tidy and the stand takes only a few minutes to assemble. The stand, while mounted on casters that can be optionally locked makes it quite stable and the portability features are perfect. You can place the stabilizers on or leave them off if you plan on moving the CaptureBoard whiteboard around often. The CaptureBoard can also be mounted directly to the wall if you prefer a more permanent solution. If mounting the CaptureBoard stand, you will need at least 2 people to lift the CaptureBoard screen, but otherwise this is a one person job. All in all it only took about 90 minutes to setup the CaptureBoard and if there had been a printer I probably would have done it all within a couple hours…not bad for someone that had never seen one of whiteboards on steroids before.
You can also project an image on the board without worrying about glare or reflections while being able to draw directly over the image at the same time. You can save it either png, jpg or pdf file formats which should cover all your needs. The CaptureBoard currently supports a limited amount of printers such as some HP Photosmart and Deskjet models, Lexmark Inkjet, Samsung Ml-2010 and the Dell Laser 1110. You can save the files for future use or even edit them using your favorite image editing software.
